Ok, I blame the LOUD wind.
It woke me up in the wee hours (sounded like mice in the walls) so I got up to pee, and when I came back it took awhile for my neck to find a comfortable position. When I finally got back to sleep, I dreamed - I swear for hours! - that I was at some stranger's house, trying to find the can of cat food that my mom and I had bought. She had meanwhile driven off, and when she got back, with a new can, I managed to lose that too. It was a frustrating, stressful, l-o-n-g dream. I kept complaining to everyone and nobody seemed to care (imagine!) But I couldn't leave until I found it...never did.
When I got up, I started the coffee, fed the cat (hiding his pill) and getting my breakfast stuff ready. Hubby comes down with the dogs (incl. the one who injured himself AGAIN and is supposed to be taken out on a leash.) Except that hubby won't ever use a leash, saying it's not necessary, he can keep him from running if he sees a squirrel (hahahaha) and the dog can't do his business if he's on one - as if he didn't go for the weeks he was on one last year...so of course I go out, as usual, in my pjs and coat and forgetting my sunglasses, in the hellacious wind, the dog straining (which is hard on my body), stepping over the field of dog poop. He pees twice. Hubby bangs at the window, indicating, "take him off!" - so I do, I've had it, I say if he tears his stitches HE'S responsible. He says, "As soon as you took him off he peed." I point out that he'd already done so twice before that; he looks skeptical. He wonders why I sound mad. Hmmmmm???
Cat eats around the steroid pill these days (wily monkey) so I stick it in butter and manage to jam it down his throat. By the time I sit down with my breakfast it's almost an hour since I came downstairs. The wind blew our paper away.
Please tell me it can only go up from here?
