I would like to know if any of you have numbness in that you can't feel your muscles working? Mine started in my legs years ago and eventually spread throughout my body.
I know neuropathy can be caused from being diabetic but I don't have diabetes. I believe the numbness happened from a back injury years ago which I believe caused extensive nerve damage. This is also when my fibro began.
The reason I'm asking is I'm seeing a physical therapist right now who thinks I can reconnect my brain to my body to help me to feel my muscles working again. I told him that maybe I have neuropathy and it can't be reversed. He touched my arm and told me I didn't have neuropathy because I could feel his hand on my arm.
So I'm suppose to lie on the floor and tighten and relax my muscles and try to feel my muscles working again... It's not working but I'm willing to give it a try.
Thanks so much.
Fibromyalgia, CFS, multiple chemical sensivity, herniated disks, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, ADD, sjorgens, sleep apnea. I am happy to say the only medication I take is ibuprofen at night to sleep along with my supplements for sleeping. I am on a regiment of different supplements, I eat very nutritiously, and ever since my injury years ago I have been doing my prescribed stretches x2 daily.
