Hi Valentine :) welcome to the family. Savella is also used for the treatment of fibro...it is a SNRI and in Europe it goes by the name milnacipran and is used as antidepressant. In the US it is marketed as a drug for fibromyalgia.
I've been on it for over two and a half years. What works for one does not always work for another...I could not tolerate Cymbalta but had no issues with the Savella...others did. My rheumy gave me two 2-week sample titration packs so that my body had a full month to slowly adjust to the full dosage of 50 mgs 2x daily. The first day you are only taking 12.5 mgs and slowly work your way up. It did take a couple of months before I noticed any change...it is not the miracle drug I had hoped for...you are by no means painfree, but it has helped.
I'm glad that you have joined us and hope you find some good pain relief soon!
