Sorry for the ticket AND the attitude. I would also fight it. I'm basically a peaceful person, but when I get my Irish up, look out! I have fought 2 insurance companies and a ticket for our car in a town we NEVER traveled to. I don't like being called a liar, and I don't like that you were called one. Who do these ppl think they are? BTW, I won both cases against the insurance companies and the ticket!
My DH and I each have a placard for our cars. about a wk ago we were in his car, parked at Lowe's in a handicapped spot. I always wait, b/c sometimes my beloved forgets to put up the placard. I reminded him and he did it. As we were getting out of the car, a gust of wind blew thru my door and knocked that placard to the floor. I climbed back in and put it on the mirror. My DH asked why I went back into the car. When I told him, he said, 'Don't worry about it, anyone could see it on the floor'. I don't trust that someone is really going to ck all around the car to find it. There is also that need to make a quota. :(
We had the choice of the placard, which is free or we could get a plate. The plate costs $50.00 per yr. I liked Sherrine's idea to get a sticker in the windshield, like they do for inspection. They really should put a woman in charge of these practical matters, but again, that would mess w/ their quota.
God bless. Alice.
