Ya' know, I devopled FM 25 years ago, at the age of 22.... exactly during the same time period that I used to work in the Ortho division of Chevron. We were cleaning, scraping, and removing some hideous stuff from pipes and equipment called Difolitan. It was a biproduct of some nasty pesticides, and it was SOOO dangerous, that it was not legal for any purpose in the US. Oh, it was a defoliant, and was in the same category as agent orange (the stuff that killed my Father)
So what did they do with it ? They packaged it up and sent it to 3rd world countries, with little to no regulations for health and safety. Probably gave it to them for the cost of shipping :( How crappy is this ?
I've mentioned this to all of my Dr's, but they could not find out enough about Difolitan, to make any judgements one way or the other.
I do remember it had an MSDS (material safety and data sheet) that looked like a 300 pg novel !
Hmmm. Your thoughts ?
