I hope you're feeling better tonight. Congratulations on taking your health into your own hands! I can sure understand why you don't want to take drugs if you don't have to. A lot of us have had to.
Everyone's definition of flare up will probably be different. I've had fibro for at least 25 years, and I'm still not real sure about it. I guess to me, it would mean just increased pain, and maybe also fatigue and fog. Sometimes I might be able to trace the cause back, and sometimes not.
The longer you work with your body, you'll tend to get into a rhythm, by no means always, but hopefully most of the time, where you can sense when to quit pushing. Our bodies seem to like consistency....for me, at least, if I'm getting clear "do not do this!" messages, and I push through and do it anyway, I am going to pay. Maybe today, maybe in 2 days, but I'm not going to get away with it. What's been the hardest is trusting my instincts, because some of the things I'm not "allowed" to do are almost unbelievable - here's a typical one: carrying a half-gallon of milk from one counter to the next. ???
I would also say that losing 11 pounds in 6 or 7 weeks is a lot, but I may be way off base here.
fibromyalgia, herniated disc L4-5, (with recent discectomy), bulging disc L5-S1, other assorted spinal deterioration, scoliosis, Hashimoto's, IBS, migraines, tachycardia, hearing loss (probably from Menieres Disease)
