I've read posts in here talking about how some of you who are overly sensitive to stimuli like myself. I thought I would share this thread with those of you who are interested:
I would be interested to know if some of you feel overly sensitive?
I would be interested to know for those of you who feel overly sensitive, how do you think yours began?
I feel mine began emotionally and physically when I was growing up. Emotionally from emotional and verbal abuse and physically from possibly these issues:
Having to wear my cousin's hand-me-down wool sweaters in the winter to school might have caused my body to become hypersensitive due to the itchiness. The constant itch when I wore those sweaters was very difficult to deal with. The other cause might have been my hair being washed only once a week while I was growing up. I had oily hair at the time and my mother applied baby powder to my scalp to soak it up. It was very embarrassing, even though I tried to brush it out. It itched a lot. My scalp still itches at times.
Now I hope you won't take this the wrong way, I have no complaints about my childhood. What we've gone through in life makes us what we are today. I'm very proud of myself and very thankful for what I have.
The reason for this post, as many of my other posts, is now and then to try to figure things out.
If you can identify, can anyone else think of possible causes for your over sensitivity?
Fibromyalgia, CFS, MCS, scoleosis, herniated disks, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, sjorgens, sleep apnea, asthma, headaches. I am on a regiment of different supplements including sleep supplements, I eat very nutritiously, and ever since my injury years ago I have been doing prescribed stretches x2 daily.
