This is an oldie but goodie...a lesson in neglecting the details in a new environment. For me, anyway.
about 12 years ago I took my dogs to a new dog park. It was an old horse stable and they had converted the corrals into chain linked fence play areas for dogs. I open the gate and enter. In the middle of the arena I see what I think is a white soccer ball. I run up to it at about 100 MPH and kick it with all my fibro-might. It was NOT a ball...it was a round, cement hitching post for horses. I broke two toes. Others around me couldn't control their laughter...I mean it was like watching someone do the splits falling on the ice.
I was thinking of this early this morning as these two toes still throb when the weather is damp...could harldy put on a shoe.
Pay attention to details with fibro? It's one of my most consistant issues...Just recently I was in Walmart and accidentally rammed my cart into what I thought was a support beam and it was a cardboard Christmas display...TIMMMMMBERRRR!
Okay. You just can't take me out in public without a cattle prod.
