Peter, I'm sorry you are dealing with this now. Not only having to deal with the pain but also using crutches with fibro is no picnic either! But I do feel you will heal successfully and continue on. This is just a detour. We can be riding along on our road in life, get a detour and end up on another road. But we are very adaptable creatures and many times the new road is better than the old road!
This is a good opportunity to spend time with your family, too. We get so busy in life...especially young adults with young families....and before we know it the children are all grown! Even though you can't do really physical things, just playing board games with them will give them, and you, memories you will never forget.
I will be praying that your leg heals well and you are back in the game again really soon. I know it is frustrating right now but soon this will be just a bad memory. You are handling this superbly. Your attitude will get you far. Yes, this is a gift from God.
Take care and let us know when you can ditch those crutches!
