I too!... am on Lyrica, trying to treat nerve damage. (100mg X2) …for Spine Problems, both Cervical and Lumbar.
Your starting dose is very low, but again its a starting place. Give this med a good long while to work before disregarding it as a no go. This also means, that you will have to be patient until you get up into the effective doses for your specific diagnoses. I see way too many patients giving up on a meds at the starting doses, either because they do not see any results, or they experience a couple side effects. It is common to experience a side effect or two, when starting medications.
However if the side effects are too much for you to take, then by all means consult with your Dr. Please note that many of the reported side effects may go away after time.
I hope you have good luck with this med, and I'm still in the early stages of when I first started taking it myself. I believe it may be working a bit for me, and will wait another 30 days to see if the results improve, as they upped my dose just last week.
Take care!…and again good luck!
