Welcome lisaLu- you must be a storng lady to go through what you have described. You have found a great place for support and some helpful ideas on managing your fibro. There are years experience here and some some great people that are willing to support you.
I know for me it took reading post daily and educating myself with books on fibro. I would write all my symptoms down and write a treatment plan to help these symptoms. Many of our symptoms with fibro can be manage with natural remedies. Discuss with your Dr. Before starting something new first. I found out magnesium and calcium has help me. Many of us suffer from depression and anxiety too. Learning great coping mechanisms and getting some tools to learn how to manage our stress is huge with me. As you know stress will cause fibro to go bananas!! Lol I have put a team of therapist and Dr's as part of my treatment plan.
I hope you can continue to exercise. I just started 2 months ago and I didn't realize how beneficial it's to our fibro. Maybe trying a change in meds and treatments might be helpful to you. I know how scary it can be when trying a new med.
I hope you continue to be part of the forum. I came here a few years ago in bad shape. I was desperate and just happen to come across this forum. I am so happy I did. It change my life. I am so much healthier and happier. It took some trial and error method, but all worth it. I try to keep my treatment plan as simple as I can. It seems the more drugs the worse I got. So I do the following. Heat, exercise, eat well, calcium, magnesium, remron, subutex, rest, stay away from unwanted stress. I added a new thing to my list. I volunteer to help someone each week. It does well for the soul.
Feel free to ask questions or if you just need that support on those rough days. Welcome!
