i don't know how to describe this feeling, but i have only drank 4 cups of water a day all my life (i am now in my mid 20s). the last 3 years that i have been on meds for bipolar and fibro, i usually take my meds without food and only a mouthful of water for each pill

now my stomach is weak, prone to acid, and even water weakens it. which makes me not want to drink water, which in turns makes me even more dehydrated. i don't want more pills for my stomach to take with my existing meds. i almost feel like i have to stick with drinking emulsifying stuff like yogurt, soybean drink all the time (not something as liquidy as water or gatorade)

anyone have any suggestion what i should drink? or in same boat?

Your body is made up of mostly water and you do need water. Maybe if you ate something before drinking the water. I never take pills on an empty stomach. I think the chemicals are pretty harsh. Your stomach was designed to handle food and not chemicals so that's why I take my pills right befor I eat.

Maybe you can try adding lemon or Crystal Light to your water to give it a better flavor.

If water is bothering you, then you might want to check in with your doctor. There could be something else going on.

A yogurt shake made with fresh fruit and honey might help. I make these for breakfast.

Have you tried sucking on ice cubes or crushed ice?
You can try Aloe Juice or soy milk.

This sounds similar to gastritis. Have you had anything like an upper endoscopy?

I don't believe Healingwell has a gastritis forum, but I used to visit one at Daily Strength which was helpful:

Of course, maybe it's NOT gastritis or anything similar.  I agree with seeing a gastro doctor for a diagnosis.  He/she could likely help with this issue.

Feel better soon!
