I have some good news and some news that I'm still unsure of. The good news is that the mysterious .9 cm spot that was on my the lingula area of my left lung has dissapeared...yipeee!!!!
The CT scan showed that I still have pleural effusion of the right lung...quite a bit of fluid. I will need to go to the hospital and have an ultrsound quided thorancentesis. The fluid will be sent to the lab to check for infection and or malignancy and I will need to go back and see my pulmonologist ASP. There are anumber of things that can cause it, including my connective tissue diseases. My pulmonologist was calling my reheumy first thing in the morning to discuss it. There is an ice storm forecasted forThursday and Friday. I am supposed to recieve a call tomorrow saying what day and what time.
The scan also showed what they believe to be a hemangioma on my spleen and it has grown quite a bit, since September and I might need to have my spleen removed at some point.
I'm very happy about
the spot disapearing and I guess I will just go with the flow on the other stuff. I'm getting used to playing the waiting games.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry or both...my head is spinning.
