Ach, I couldn't do that! Heels are cute, it's true....but they are so far out of my realm of possibility, and always have been, that I don't even look at them. When I get shoe catalogs, the ones I salivate over are Easy Spirit and Clarks flat (or nearly flat) sandals, sneakers & oxfords! I would own 100 pairs if I were rich.
I pretty much have to stick to tie shoes, because my feet are very wide at the toes, but not at the heels, and I don't want my feet sloshing around. I wore ballet flats to my wedding. Why?? Because they're more comfortable, of course!
I admit, though, that I struggle when I absolutely have to dress up...luckily this almost literally never happens. I'll usually end up just wearing nice pants instead of a dress. Oh well. I wore dresses when I was young.
Just walk away, Myself!! You're stronger than this! ;) Your comfort is worth the sacrifice.
