Think OT pay laws are described at the above link..
My contracts always specifically stated rate of pay for OT so I did not have to deal with this myself in many many years.
Know of others whose job titles determine their pay rates. - management, hourly, etc. Do not know if that applies to you.
I understand your reaction, last time something similar happened I immediately started looking for another job & re-entered the contracting job market. Changed my life forever.
Jobs always are willing to accept all you will give for free.. often we 'get' it only afterwards.
If they are not legally bound to pay you, do you have legal rights to raise &/or bonus.??
are they perhaps perhaps planning to down size &/ or replace some members of staff ??
Discrimination - proving it will need documentation.. but I think you should follow thru -For your own peace of mind.
And maybe revise your work hours in the future, no matter where you work.
I do feel for you hon.. what a terrible way to be treated by people you trusted & did so much for too. I am so sorry !
