Is it similar to, or the same as olive oil?

It's not the same as olive oil. It's actually the leaf of the olive tree hence the name :)

And yes I have used it.

You can find it @ vitamin shoppe, or a cheaper alternative on Amazon

Also get the ones that doesn't contain 'magnesium stearate' because this can potentially lower your immune response to disease or virus but yea there's a lot of reviews regarding different kinds of Olive leaf extract so just go with the one which you feel is right for you..

"Olive leaf does not stimulate the immune system as echinacea does, although it does stimulate phagocytosis, which is the engulfing and digesting of bacteria, dead cells etc. which is part of the immune function.
Olive leaf is not generally contraindicated in the case of autoimmune diseases."

I really tried to give this a shot.

but I got worse.

on bottles there is warning.
I Quote.

do not use if allergic to olive pollen.

olives on pizza nearly kill me.
olive oils small amount does the same.

olive leaf extract was gentler on reaction.
but more I forced myself to drink it it built up to olives pneumonia pizza big reactions flares.

please use gently first.
don't go full on like I did.

helpful friend.
came every day to watch me drink it.
as he sure it help me

Hi Rick,

I'm sorry about your experience, yea I don't think you should take it if you are allergic to olives, be careful about taking anything if you are allergic to it or if it's bad for you.

You can perhaps try coconut oil if you are really allergic to olives, but please before you try it, do a research on it (dosage etc.) and make sure that you start on the lowest dosage & that you're not allergic to it (that you're ok to take it)

besides olive leaf extract, organic extra virgin coconut oil also worked for me
you can find it at your local health food stores: sprouts, trader joes, whole foods.

but yea careful k.. (:

Peach Angel: Thanks for the info. When you talk about organic extra virgin coconut oil, do you take it alone, or do you mean using this oil instead of other oils for baking, etc.----or maybe both?
