Hopefully, once you get past this first appt your life will be much easier. Still, it may be worth calling and asking if they can move your appt up. You never know if someone might have cancelled.
My Rheum is probably my most communicative doc, he's the only one that I feel like I can call and get on the phone and ask stupid questions of, or real necessary questions, get him to call me in something over the phone, or get him to see me if I feel the need before my appt. I wish all docs were that way.
If you can't move your Rheum appt up, then I'd say it's worth asking your PCP for some help and see what they offer. These days things are so tight with pain meds they aren't likely to want to give you much, especially with an uncomfirmed dx, but you never know. I have found an alternative product that has really helped me, and might be worth looking at, it's a CBD oil muscle rub from a place called Fay Farms (code SPOONS saves you 10%).
