Hello Fibro Peers,
I feel pretty strongly that I now have new fibro issues :(. Since the first trip to the ER, July 4th, for pain on a scale of 10, apparently ulcer, GERD, or ????, my entire upper back hurts and spasms like my fibro in other areas, sigh. I went to the ER twice in ten days and had every test in their book. My back was on fire after it started(s) in my breastbone wraps around my lower rib and then shoots up my upper back. Only morophine shots stop the pain. I had another attack two nights back but it was only half the pain and I managed to get through it. I will be having an endoscope soon. I am posting on the GERD forum so the details here are not needed about the potential issue.
But, the back pain is. It is always there and just like my other fibro pain, any stress or wrong posture, etc etc causes spasms and pain. It's been a month and it has not changed. My knee surgery pain has changed and is getting better. But they are not and never have been the same. The stress on my back was so intense for hours and hours both times. Since my upper arms, neck and shoulders have always been my worst area, I am worried this is now additional fibro.
On a positive note, I started a blog about living well with fibro YEAH. From there I will be starting a business as fibro peer advocate life coach/counselor online. My gift for being a fibro survivor, having my own business again.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I will post my website of blog.
In the meantime, I really would love peer advice about what you suspect about my back.
