For those of you, like myself, who have issues with hay fever and pollen, beware of supplements or lotions that contain "flower" ingredients. I have two examples:
Last year, I had my first and only bout of eczema. When what my dermatologist prescribed did nothing for it, I did some research on my own and tried a lotion that contains calendula which is suppose to help eczema.
It seemed to be helping but something else happened in the meantime. I became hoarse and I lost my voice. I didn't have any cold symptoms. I went to see two ear, nose, and throat doctors and they could not figure it out.
30 days of not being able to talk and having to type on a electronic tablet that I purchased so I wouldn't have to write down everything I wanted to say when we were out and about
, a light bulb went off: I started using the lotion about
the time I lost my voice.
I stopped using the lotion and the next day my voice improved dramatically and the day after that it was normal again.
The second product is a sleep supplement that I tried recently that contains passion flower. I woke up with a crackling noise in my throat and that day came down with cold symptoms which lasted for days.
No more products for me that contain flower ingredients.
