For a while, I was waking at night with some 'doozy' muscle cramps. I started using homemade 'magnesium oil,' which is just Epsom salts dissolved in water. I rub it on my feet and legs after a warm bath.
I also eat bananas for potassium, and started to wear compression 'socks' minus the feet part, since when I tried them with the feet 'in,' I ended up with foot cramps!
I don't know if it's my circulation or what---that actually seems pretty good, but for whatever reason, things are generally better. I sure hope that continues, because I don't miss those muscle spasms at all!
Hope it's better for you soon.
There are some strange home remedies for muscle cramps I've found online, such as pickle juice, mustard, and other odd things. Who knows??? Interesting, though.
......just adding that I do have an appointment with a neurologist to further look into this, and recheck about
compression socks, how often to wear, etc.. Always good to get a doctor's opinion on 'stuff' like this.
