I'm sure this gets asked like every other day but here it goes if someone is willing to read thank you.

I'm 19 I've been having pains all over for I don't know how long now I was diagnosed with celiac disease a few months back in the summer maybe July for pain I've been having since I was little in my stomach area. I've been gluten free ever since then.

Lately though I've been having pain all over in my neck back legs arms it burns and I feel weakness in my legs, I noticed some people say they feel tingles I don't I just feel. I feel cramps I'm worried that if it's not this it may some kind of cancer.

I went to the doctor and she thought it was just a UTI since I've been having pain down in that area I've been cramping down there and all over. But it turns out I'm clean.I thought maybe ovarian cancer but my gyn didn't check because I'm a virgin.

The pain gets worse at night I just took two advils for it been having to take one for days seeing my GI doctor thinking it's stomach related but I don't know.

I don't want this to be cancer if it is it's going to be too late...it worries me.

How long did it take you to find out you have this? And does my pain sound similiar to yours?

Thanks if you read....

Hi, and welcome! I'm not a doctor but your cramping symptoms don't sound like any cancer I have heard of.. And the worry these thought are causing could be causing you more pain if you do have Fibro. We do get cramping pain and can have tingling and burning pain but usually not constantly. Everyone is different as to how fibro affects them but we all do have pain in all four quadrants of our bodies and it sounds like you do too.

You know, cramping pain can be caused by lack of magnesium. Also, many people have a vitamin D deficiency. There is very little D in the foods we eat. We get D from sunshine but so many people are behind desks and just aren't getting enough of this vitamin. I live in sunny Florida and I was still deficient in D because I use sunscreen when going outside and that blocks the D from being absorbed. Because of these issues, I take magnesium malate which helps with fibro patients and also I take a vitamin D3 supplement. These are over the counter and you could try that and see if it helps.

You should go see a board certified rheumatologist to be checked out for the pain. There are several illnesses that have many of the same symptoms as fibro and those need to be ruled out first. There isn't a good test to rule out fibro so they have to rule out other things instead. Make sure the doctor does treat fibro patients because there are still some doctors in the Dark Ages when it comes to this illness.

Be sure to read Fibro 101... the first thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there. There are links about magnesium malate and also Vitamin D and how these work in your body so this could be helpful also.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Please try not to worry. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.

Sherrine
