Anybody have burning in their armpits and breasts? I would love some feedback as this has been nearly a year long issue for me. My doc thinks I'm nuts and gives me muscle relaxers, which obviously doesn't help. I'm at a loss!!! Help!!!

Nobody? Anybody? Am I all alone with this? I also have burning in my legs and arms, occasionally. My doc has prescribed me neurontin, and it has helped, but I don't like not knowing what is going on.

Hi CarrieBrady and welcome to the forum! Did you read through Fibro 101, the very first post on this forum? There's lots of good info.

I can get burning just about anywhere, and yes, that includes my armpits and breasts. I do get yearly check-ups and mammograms, and that has relieved my mind. It just seems to be another weird fibro issue I have.

I believe this topic has come up before. You could always check in the search box above.

For a long time, I've found it impossible to sleep on my left side because of the odd sensation I get in my breast and just under. It's been checked out, but nothing seems to be going on---maybe just weird nerves in there. It's good you checked it out with your doctor, and I would guess you likely have mammograms, so that may ease your mind.

Nerve pain can be odd and even feel like a shock. It can even sometimes feel like your hair hurts and my doctor said yes, it's nerve pain. I take Neurontin for that sort of thing.

Maybe others will weigh in also. If it continues to bother you, recheck with your doctor or consider seeing another doctor who may be more helpful.

Best wishes!

Hi, Carrie, and welcome! We've had discussions about this many times. I do get burning pain but not breast and armpit pain. That's why I didn't respond. But I used the Google Custom Search at the upper right on the forum and found many threads about this. I did try posting the links but it expanded your thread so no one could read it. But look for the Google Custom Search area. It's in the upper right...right below where it says Join HealingWell. Then type in Breast and Armpit pain and a lot of Fibro threads pop up. Reading these should ease your mind.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.

Thank you all. I will do some exploring on this site. I'm new and have no clue what I'm doing yet.
