Hi Purple butterfly, thank you very much. I already know that I do not have Sjogrens', however I believe it is one of the conditions that can be linked to Fibromyalgia, primarily because both conditions involve autonomic nervous system dysfunction (Dysautonomia). I bring this up because you may want to check out treatments for Dysautonomia to help you with your health.
To anyone else out there with similar issues:
I have now been to the gynacologist and been diagnosed with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, for which I need to start doing pelvic floor exercises. The psychologist suspects vaginismus, and I have started using a self-hypnosis CD for vaginismus treatment, which has been highly effective in helping me to relax and to reduce pain. I have also found that having a magnesium bath and my husband doing light massage just beforehand are both very helpful. All the best.
