New here. Hi all

Does anyone have flares like this... months long sometimes that barely allow you to sleep or functions with new symptoms and then no symptoms that cause distress for many months or even a year at a time? I have had three major flares in my life so far. In the middle of my third right now I think. Consisting mostly of being woken after an hour or two of sleep with burning pain in the neck and back area and chills, sometimes with headaches and sometimes with left arm numbness and dizziness or nausea. Mostly though it is the burning and tingling neck and back all night long. Sometimes I get it during the day and sometimes not. And I get it 5-6 nights a week until I am so tired I finally sleep 6-7 hours at a time. I have already had trips to the ER, an MRI, visits to my general doc, my Rhuematologist, a neurologist, the chiropractor, and a massage therapist. Some things help a bit like trigger point injections and nothing major has been found. Any ideas?!

Trying to adjust my meds a bit from amatrityline to nortriptyline and still seeing if that helps.

Hi,

Welcome..

I am not familiar with flares that last months, or months without symtoms

I often stay in a similar pattern and way overdoing things..can send me into a flare..or rapidly changing barometric pressure..

I managed my fibro somewhat, until my vit d got too low..then it managed me..low d made me think my fibro was getting so much worse , but much of that was the low d ..and raising it got me better..

When i go into a flare, i stop and take a rest day..and am usually some better after a rest day

We can all be very different

For some of us, supplements can help

Heat and stretching, etc
