I am back on cymbalta ,lot of folks dislike it .
It gives me tummy issues too but I have decided to give it a try for 3 months.
Without insurance it's expensive drug.

But Gabapentin could not help me with fatigue and body pain issues, maybe because of very less dosage.

After 8 weeks I can tell how I feel.
Hope it's not addicting.

My sleep is all over the place too.

Cilly, I saw that you do not have script coverage. A good place to get some decent discounts on medications is GoodRx.com. You put in your medication, dosage & amount of pills. It will give you a list of pharmacies with the lowest prices. There is no fee involved. You can either print the discount coupon or load their app on your phone. The ER gave us their info, saved us almost $70 for an antibiotic!! I am not saying you will get this huge of a discount, but its certainly worth checking into.

Take care.

Cymbalta kills your REM cycle. Slowly I got worse and worse until I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and the Sleep MD said it is known to do that so a repeat sleep study off Cymbalta showed I went from 1 REM per night to 4, Enough said. On another front MGH in Boston is launching a study using the BCG vaccine to reverse Fibromyalgia symptoms. That is serious potential to substantially reduce FM symptoms.

Yes KCT,
You are right !

I cannot sleep too well now a days and also my stomach issues are cropping up giving me more anxiety.

But recently lost my doc so cannot change to gabapentin which is more cheaper than cymbalta .

I was on PRISTIQ BEFORE ,that's also expensive.

i MIGHT try lyrica for pain incase it helps with depression and pain both.

Need to find a doc soon.

If you really want to get correctly diagnosed and treated, I would go to a Functional Medicine MD. There are even Psychiatrists trained this way Regular docs just don't have the mindset to get to the real cause of what is going on. They are the " Houses " of medicine today ( "House" was a TV doc who diagnosed difficult complex cases).

Take it from me, I am a Physician Assistant with 35 years experience.

Cilly -- I sincerely hope that the Cymbalta works for you. I have delayed phase sleep disorder. Have you looked into that?

Kct -- How does one go about finding a "Functional Medicine MD?" I am in America. I usually only get to choose from doctors in my "insurance network" (HMO). Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of Private or PPO insurance but would be interested in talking to a doctor like "House." smile

I would do a Google search for my area.
