I have experienced itchy scalp off and on for several years. I never even considered it might be fibro-related. My doctors have been as clueless as me and even prescribed very strong head lice medication after they assured me I had no lice!
Well the symptoms started again with a vengeance and I am hoping someone out there has any advice.
I am currently not on medications, as these have caused damage to my liver and kidneys.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Have something similar behind the ears, dr just says dermatitis
But itcan be very annoying..

He suggested an over the counter med..but it did nothing...almay for babies, eczema cream works the best

I think several of us complain with itching in different places, seems like maybe a nerve related thing?

TRY DERMAREST shampoo,Nizoral or Aveeno ,Head and shoulders.

Because of high nerve activity can also happen.

ALSO just twice a week as it can damage kidney or liver.

Coal tar in shampoos is not too good for us.

Yes, do she a good shampoo. It does help. I have to shampoo my hair every day so I use Brocato Splassh (it has the two "s" in it. It is a daily shampoo that doesn't dry out the scalp or hair. I have color treated hair, too, and it works great for me.

Also, if my scalp starts to itch, I will just rub that area and start focusing on something else. If I start scratching it gets worse. It feels good when I scratch the area but as soon as I stop the itching is worse.
