Hi,

Had unsual fatigue this year, now they have recalled this blood pressure med..

Have to wonder if the bad medication was causing the more than usual fatigue..

Wondered if any others with fibro, have been on it also?

I have never taken this medication. I did check it out and it’s only some of the Valsartan-containing medication. The FDA says the ones recalled have an impurity in them. I’m not sure if any in the US is being recalled. Google it. There is a ton of info about this. But above all, do talk to your doctor before making any decisions. Sometimes we worry about things and then find out it does t affect us!

I always ask for medications that have been around for awhile. I used to take Vasotec when my blood pressure was high. I like medications that have been tried and true.

Below are two links...one to the FDA site and the other link lists all the blood pressure medications and what they do for us. Hope this helps.

I was on Valsartin for years until February of this year. I never had an issue with it either. Lj, your pharmacy will have record of the particular one that you took so you can always check with them in case you don't have a bottle around the house.

Ok, the pharmacies cannot even get the medication now..so it was pretty much all , we were getting in the states..

I am very med sensitive, so although ita a trace amount..i wondered at it impacting my fatigue..guess no one else here was on that med to check with..

I am on a substitute now

I’m so sorry you have to go through this and I wish you could have gotten more help here. Obviously no one is on this particular medication. But I do hope the substitute you were given works great...maybe better than this medication! I understand your concerns because of your problems with other medications. But this could work out fine for you.

Please let us know how you are doing on your new medication because we do care about you.
