Hi,

I started some massage and acupuncture...both help at some level and i was needing to get some help..

However, i do react to the massage almost like i did gentle physical therapy..i can feel worse before i feel better...apparently my body struggles to release the toxins..πŸ˜‚

I hear that gets better! Does anyone else react like this to positive changes..my muscles feel better , less tight, she works some on the bodies mechanics..and in place of deep tissue..she finds a knot and does a gentle hold til she feels some release..

The acupuncturist says i need about twice the water i was drinking..i am trying to work up to more water..the body gets used to the dehydration and makes you feel like you do not want more..

I was feeling worse this year, a d was thinking it was flares but was a medication partly..so that will take a while just getting strength and energy back..but hey i am on it 😊

Yes,this is the type of massage I get. It’s very important to drink a lot of water...especially the day of your massage...so you are washing the toxins out of your body.

Drink lots of water in the 24 hours after the massage to help wash the toxins from the muscles. Also soaking in an Epson salt bath (or a vinegar bath) helps flush the toxins.

The massage loosens toxins from the muscles, and if you don't follow up with water, a soak, and maybe some gentle stretching - the toxins just re-accumulate in the muscles and you loose out on many of the benefits of the massage!
