How high is your fever? I’ve been over 99 degrees and my doctor doesn’t consider it a fever. With a fever you usually feel lethargic and achy all, over. Of course those can be symptoms of fibro.

Have you tried a lukewarm shower?

Here is a link about fevers from the Mayo Clinic.

I'm not sure why but I often have fevers for no reason or my temp goes way down. (like to 95.8) When I asked my Dr. about it he just said it was a virus. I'm like, but I don't feel bad. He didn't seem concerned so I let it go. I did read something about fibro and virus' though. I just can't remember what or when. Sorry, I'm in a bad fibro fog right now. sad I do know that fevers can go with chronic fatigue syndrome.

Just wondering...do you ever go swimming and, if so, do you get a fever...not just chills...but a high temperature registered on a thermometer?

If you don’t see much change in the thermometer, how do you know you have a fever? What is the reading on the thermometer?

Cold water will bring on chills. See if you can tolerate a lukewarm shower without causing problems with your lupus. Also, have the bathroom warm because even a lukewarm shower could cause chills. Have your clothing ready to put on as soon as you dry off to warm your body.
