Thank you so much! I am checking out the link right after I post this. To be honest, my fibro diagnosis has just been mumbled during my appointments with my neurosurgeon (recent 4 level acdf) and my Rheumatologist. My primary diagnoses right now are psoriatic arthritis and mixed connective tissue disorder. I have been trying to find out what is wrong with me for a few years but I keep having surgeries which complicate the process. Also, my Rheum. is really lacking in interest and knowledge and I have an appt with a new one early Oct.
I am on a lot of meds...methotrexate injections weekly at a top dose, Cosentyx monthly after trying Humira and Enbril for quite a bit. I am sure I sound like a hypochondriac constantly having one thing after another 'wrong' with me and all of it involves either nerve pain, arthritic pain, joint swelling, muscle issues...I think the fibro diagnosis has been added to the list just recently. But I knew i would find a nice and knowledgeable group of people here that might shed some light for me. And I have.
I am overwhelmed with the constant issues I find myself facing but I am not ready to give up and say nothing will help me. I am almost 59 but I feel like 99. This smell/taste thing is probably a side effect from something or related to something. I am going to check the link now thank you so much! My smell and taste were exceptionally acute...annoyingly so! The abrupt change makes me pretty sure it is not age.
Thanks for the warm welcome! I like to participate in conversations...ask the chronic pain people...I hope you are not sick of me soon.
