That pain in my thigh and lower back I had mentioned awhile back, ended up being a ruptured L2 disc with nerve root impingement. I would have had to wait a long time to see a spine doc and then wait for the MRI, so I was grateful my husband could order it.
I was a bit ticked at my primary care doc, since he said it was all FMS, and didn't even examine me when this first started up. Fortunately, he responded well when I gave him the MRI results and let me have more Tramadol and a short course of steroids.
But.....I tried to at least see the spine doc's PA who I saw last year for a T12 stress fracture, but they said since I got the MRI at a different location, they can't advise. I think the incompetent front office people probably didn't even relay the message correctly.
Anyone have a ruptured disc with nerve impingement? My doc said he's heard of it going away on its own sometimes without surgery. I just wanted to talk to the PA about exercises I might do to help..........until I can see him or the spine doctor when this virus is over (if anything is ever normal again.).
I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself from earlier. My memory has gotten pretty bad.
This time in the world is pretty scary, especially when you have horrible pain, and docs aren't seeing people.
I hope you are all doing okay.
Any suggestions on exercises would be appreciated. I didn't want to do any until I talked with a spine person, but I think I need to go ahead and carefully try some.
