I am going through some unusual bladder issues at the moment and it is really stressing me out. I seem to have this urgency to visit the toilet throughout the day. My bladder feels full and at times I leak a little simply by just walking. Last night a bit of urine leaked out when I was having a glass of water.
I have been to the doctor and had an ultrasound, a urine test and a full blood examination. All came back clear.
I desperately need to know if anyone out there is experiencing something similar.
Is this another fibromyalgia issue? Looking at other posts on this site I couldn't find any information on it.
I feel as if I am constantly dealing with something new and it is very depressing.

I’m not a doctor but it sounds like urge incontinence. There are four kinds of incontinence and urge incontinence is one of them. It’s not a fibro symptom and it happens to many women...usually older women. I looked it up and it said...

“ Urge incontinence occurs when you have a sudden urge to urinate. In urge incontinence, the urinary bladder contracts when it shouldn't, causing some urine to leak through the sphincter muscles holding the bladder closed. Other names for this condition are: overactive bladder (OAB)‘

I also found this...

‘ For many people with urinary incontinence, the following self-help tips and lifestyle changes are enough to relieve symptoms.
Do daily pelvic floor exercises. ...
Stop smoking. ...
Do the right exercises. ...
Avoid lifting. ...
Lose excess weight. ...
Treat constipation promptly. ...
Cut down on caffeine. ...
Cut down on alcohol.”

I have this issue. I can shop for three or four hour and be just fine but the minute I pull the car into the garage, it’s like my bladder is going to explode. Trying to get out of the car is fun. 😳. This can happen many times throughout the day for me. I have a huge hernia caused by abdominal surgery 30 years ago and this also factors in. I think it presses down on my bladder. Sooooo, I should take out stock in Poise Pads. 😂

I want to stress that not everything is caused by fibro. We have a variety of symptoms but get checked out if you are concerned. Your doctor knows far more than we do.

Thank you Sherrine for your quick reply. It's amazing how quickly one can blame every unusual symptom on Fibro.
I only thought it might be related to fibro because it developed suddenly like all my other symptoms. I always believed that I had strong pelvic floor. I am 57, not overweight, and try to be healthy most of the time. I don't smoke and before covid, I did yoga once a week. As for doing the pelvic floor exercises, in the past I must admit I did them more frequently but really these exercises need to be done every single day, consistently.
The doctor recommended I see a physiotherapist who specializes in continence issues. I will be making that appointment soon. I really believed that I was not that old to have continence issues, but it looks like I have. I should be looking for those pads next time I am in the supermarket.😂😒
