Now all we have to do is talk with the transplant psychiatrist, if we can ever get the number to set the appointment up. It gets so frustrating, I put a call in 2 weeks ago to the coordinator and still nothing back. I have called several times since then, was directed to her asistant and still no response from anyone.
The heart cath came back fine, no stint or blockages which is great. His ascites has increased tho and that has me a bit worried, this week they took 5400 on monday and another 3550 on thursday. He isnt able to have a bowel movement without drinking that magnesium citrate, we cant get answers from anyone. And to top it off, I started researching his meds today to try to find the ones that are on the walmart $4 list and found that several of his meds are contradicted for liver disease?? Really makes me wonder sometimes if the doctors even give a care at all or if this is just their way of getting as much money out of the gov that they can. He has been a real bear to live with lately, he is feeling much better other than his hernia and the fact that his ammonias have to be going thru the roof since he cant have a bowel movement except every couple of days, altho he isnt feeling good enough to do anything around here, not even put up his plate...... but goes to his house and mows the 1/2 acre on the riding mower?
sorry, petty I know.
I just quit smoking, day 5 without a puff after smoking 1 1/2- 2 1/2 packs a day for 35 years and it aint getting any easier

Hello Therese,
You are a better stress handler than I was. I could not quit smoking while he was alive. He tried to get me to but I was just too stressed to be able to. I finally did about 6 months or so ago though.

You come here and rant anytime you want. We totally understand. It is a very tough job to be a caregiver.

Take at least a few minutes for yourself everyday or you will end up sick too.
I would take a walk when ever I thought that I was going to explode at him. Our home is on 1 acre so I would just walk around the perimeter and cool off. But some days I made about 5 trips around the property when things got really bad.

Take care........thoughs and prayers........
