Hi All,  My husband and I were at the hospital all day today.  He finally got the endoscopy and CT scan that he has needed for over a year now.  When he got up this morning he was trying to back out of going.  After about a half hour of begging he finally agreed to go.  I am so glad that he did.  He received good news with the endoscopy.  Two years ago the endoscopy showed grade II varices and two small ulcers in his stomach.  Today's endoscopy showed improvement in the varices(now grade I) and no ulcers.  He actually gets to get rid of one of the medications he has been taking (the ulcer medication).  I was so surprised.  I had know idea that the medication they prescribed for the varices could improve them.  I thought that it was being used to keep them from getting worse.  I was so happy when they gave us the news.  We don't know the results of the CT scan yet.  We were told that the doctor should have them by noon tomorrow, so I will email her tomorrow and see if I can get the results.
Thank you all for your prayers.  You are all still in mine.
There is always hope!

Butterfly, that is GREAT news!!  That's what we like to hear!  I was scheduled for an endoscopy and was dreading it, but when I decided not to pursue hep C treatment at this time, the test was canceled.  I may only be getting a temporary reprieve, though.  rolleyes

We got the results of the CT scan today. Everything looked good. His spleen is a little enlarged, but that is normal for cirrhosis. It was enlarged when he had his first CT 2 years ago.

Another thing to be thankful for. Thank you all for your prayers.
