Hi everyone;
     Just as things go well. for two days smhair BAM. smhair    After having my fourth surgery on my right bunion. They finally had to remove the hardware. 3plates 12screws. Went on Tuesday for bandage removal . Incision had healed so quickly needed no bandages. My foot finally felt normal after eight months of surgeries.
    Today I was playing with my pup. Tripped on an area rug she had rumpled while running. I fell toward the counter, tried to keep my head from hitting it. Streached so hard my arm twisted, my back cracked. Somehow twisted and fell hard on my right side. Got a terrible strange pain on my liver area. Not to mention scraped one knee and twisted the other so bad I am having difficulty walking.
    I know if I go to my primary dr. he'll just send me to emergency room. My side is'nt hurting me now . Just my shoulder cant raise my arm, and my knee is stiff. Hope I didn't break my toe again.
     Anyway can you further damage an already damaged liver. That is my real concern righjt now. Hope I can move tomorrow.  Thanks All. jun
If I do end up going to emergency what type of tests should I request for liver, spine , knee, shoulder?
What should I expect as far as my if I injured it will I bleed feel pain. Right now that all seems ok.

Oh June, I feel so bad for you right now. You are right, you need a break from all the medical issues you've gone through. I think that you should go to the Dr and have some xrays done at least. There is the possibility that you have a fracture. Your aches and pains will be much more pronounced in the next few days. The muscles start to swell and stiffen so don't be surprised. As for damaging the liver it would depend on how hard and where you hit it. The liver can bruise just like anything else, it can tear and bleed, etc. Your Dr can order an ultra sound to look at it if he wants. I really doubt that it is torn though. That takes a pretty traumatic injury or crush injury. You definately need to be seen however. Just my opinion. Take care and keep us posted.

(((June))), I am so sorry about your fall. It seems never ending doesn't it? Always something to throw a wrench into things.........But you are a strong person June. Do follow Shelly's advice seen by your doctor and get Xrays at least.

Lot's of thoughts and prayers going your way...........

{{{{{{June}}}}}}}  I can totally empathize with you.  I had a bad fall outside about 2 wks. ago and am still recovering.  I fell face down and split my lip and scraped up my face, nose, and left knee.  The next day, I felt like I'd been run over by a truck.

I agree that you should probably get x-rays.  I think your liver is okay, but as Shelly mentioned, ask for a CT scan if you want to be positive.

Any type of loose carpets are bad news!  I have taken up all my scatter rugs.

Please take it easy and keep us informed.

June, I am so sorry to hear about your fall. I hope you have gone to the doctor, and everything is ok.

Connie, I hope you are doing much better also.

As always, you are in my prayers.
There is always hope!
