Good Afternooon All.
While doing some online reading, I came across a couple of articles on Sulphasalazine.
Does anyone have any salient information/knowledge regarding this drug?
I imagine had the trials amounted to any success, it would have been all over the news (but it's worth a shot).

I have come across some even more recent (this year) articles pertaining to this drug.
Even if it is not yet approved for use in this capacity, clinical trials are sure to follow.
It is my understanding that phase II trials utilize human volunteers.
An unsavory notion to some, but to those with no alternatives...
Perhaps someone will find this of use?
In the absence of any utility, my hope is that this post serves as a catalyst for more positive dialogue and a continued open exchange of information.
Let's find a cure for this thing!

Interesting, but it is in the UK and not here.  Perhaps they will do some clinical trials here in the future.  The thing about cirrhosis is that it usually is not diagnosed until it is end-stage (not "and-stage" as stated in the article.)  Also, it does not address a big cause for cirrhosis, hep C (and B.)
