Hi Connie and Rick,
My husband saw the surgeon today, he would normally remove it but said with his liver problems(cirhosis and hcv) and labs all out of wack they are for now going to do a needle biopsy by ultra sound and go from there. They said that going under general anesthsia could cause his liver to shut down and need a transplant asap, and with his bleeding problems(low platelets and high pro time) it could be real risky. So for now were going to take 1 step at a time. I did tell my husband to go where I go for my G.I. and transplant  appointments so I hope he listens. I did have all his records sent to them,I just need to get him to make and keep his appointment.
Thank God he still has'nt had a drink. I actually like being with him again. I love him so much,We have been together along time, since I was 17. He is my best friend too. I pray everything is ok.
Rick ,my hepatologist told me it's fine to take the milk thistle that they have good results with it and the Mayo clinic site also did a study on it and approves it. Maybe you should ask you DR. again or the Dr. from the transplant teaI will keep you all posted.
Take care my thoughts and prayers are with you,DeeDee

DeeDee, thanks for the update.  The needle biopsy seems like the best way to go at this time.  My prayers are with you both for a good result.  Great that he is still not drinking, too!  It's the single best thing he can do for his liver.
