Hello, my name is kristina and i have a daughter 7 years who has AH1 . We informed that 6 months ago. She is now in prednisone with 15 mg everyday and she is in remission with transaminases in normal value 20 days after we begin the treatment6 months ago . I don't know what to expect because she is so young. How is the life with AH. I am so afraid. Any information will be valuable. Thanks

There are a few moms of kids with AIH on this group (I think) but definitely on the AIH Yahoo group.  It sounds like your daughter is responding well to the medication.  Have they started an immunosuppressant yet?  That will allow them to wean her off the prednisone.  The long term side effects of pred are far worse than the long term risks of immunosuppressants.  From my understanding, it's a harder disease on children but still fully treatable.

Please keep us posted on how she's doing and ask any questions you may have!

Hello, Kristina, and welcome to the forum.  I took the liberty of deleting your other post, since it was a duplicate and in someone else's thread.

I can't think of any other parents here with children who have AIH, though we do have a number of adults with the disorder.  Dany gave you some good information.  You will surely find great support here.
