Mick, it's great that your doc is a hepatologist. Ask questions. When docs have informed patients, they seem to be more forthcoming. From my experience working with doctors, I don't put them on pedestals. They are human, just like us, though highly skilled, very smart people. Definitely ask about the creatinine. They won't do the MRI on me if my creatinine is not in the normal range (due to the contrast medium needing to be flushed from the system easily.)
Write down all questions and take them with you...or put Karen in charge of that, if she goes to the doc with you.
