The wrist?? Well, good luck with that! I have a tiny vein on each wrist, right over the bone, that they use to draw blood. Once they're used, that's it for a week. Yeah, I'll probably need a PIC line or port. What fun. Once one is in, though, it's very convenient...but blood must be drawn by a nurse, not a tech.
Linda, thanks so much for all the info. I hope Dean is "better than new" now. I will definitely check out the Cancer Society site for transportation. But only 3 days for testing (except colonoscopy?) How on earth did they do that? They do have a bunch of "meetings" scheduled. I will check out the song.
Sandi, I've had everything done at Mayo the past 6 yrs. except for mammograms and primary care.
