Well - let's see. Ron has had a pain in his side for 6 weeks or so - after an entire day in the ER - they decided it was because his potassium was sky high - sure enough - I found information online.
When you are married to someone who's health needs constant care (always waiting for the other shoe to drop) - it's easy to imagine only the worst......because honestly if you read this list of things - you would think - GOSH, how do these people do this (I hear it all the time from friends - as if we have a choice).
Diabetes, Hep C, liver cancer, liver transplant, bile duct surgery, a rare fungal disease of the lungs - mucormycosis, depression, rehab for pain pill addiction, triple bypass, depression again and now, - pepper it all with crazy medication induced passing out, hallucinations, tremors, slurred speech, diarreha and constipation.
So, I was convinced he had pancreatic cancer........and thank goodness it was only his potassium. He had to drop out of cardiac rehab - oh and he's had two small traffic accidents - all of this since 2010.
I'm tired. Oh, yeah, and I've used all my sick days taking care of Ron - so I'm at work today with a kidney infection and a fever (I was able to get a 4:15 doctor appointment yesterday and I'm on antibiotics).
I'm in education - and only 14 days until summer - I feel like the little engine that could, "I think I can, I think I can".
