Went to pharmacy today and bought a pill box per the suggestion of the psychologist. I now am taking 11 pills each morning and 3 pills and lactulose at night. I also bought an incentive spirometer so I can practice deep breathing before my transplant surgery. My PFT was on the low end of normal.
A friend suggested I learn some ASL signs so I could better communicate with my family during my ICU . I do hope I get off the ventilator much sooner than last time.
Am currently having a trace amount of fluid in my belly due to my spleen surgery. My edema is getting worse. They upped my dose to 40 mg a day, but I am still swelling. I know they are reticent about
upping my dose any more because of my previous problem with low Potassium.
I tried wearing my support hose last night but they did not reduce the swelling in the ankle and top of my feet. I did raise my feet last night and this am they were slightly better. It is an ongoing struggle.
In the next few weeks,I will be sharing with my husband my screen name and password so when my time comes he can update you and get answers to his questions.
Thank you for all your support, guys!a
