Hi Lali and Welcome to HP/Hepatitis! But of course I'm sorry that you had a need to seek us out. Your Grandpa was diagnosed with liver cancer 6 years ago and his only treatment has been with Nexavar? Usually there is more involved with treating HCC. Does he have cirrhosis or HepC? Have they mentioned a TACE procedure (chemoembolization - it's chemo directed only to the tumor)? Has there been any discussion of a liver transplant? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm interested to know more about
his liver cancer (it also helps with any suggestions/advice we can offer).
The 'blood blister looking' lesions on his arms are most likely bruising caused by low platelets - it's often seen in liver disease/ESLD. The diarrhea can also be seen with ESLD, but the loss of mobility in his left arm and leg is not. Have the doctors evaluated him for a possible mini-stroke(s)? If you have any more info, it would help us to help you.
Some days/times are slower than others - so please don't feel like you're being ignored or anything - others will be around soon, just keep checking back. And again - Welcome!
