Hi Everyone - I am new here, looking for info the doctors don't tell me. My HepC was "discovered" about
5 years ago and finally I found a doctor that didn't accuse me of using IV drugs and the like, and that I had had it for 30 years. But he is very busy. My story begins last June when I went to have a MRI on my neck. Right near the end of the session I noticed some dried vomit inside the tube. I told the techs as I left. They immediately put another person in. That eve I got so sick, fast and hard. Fever, vomit, hurt all over. My doc gave me an antibiotic and I felt a little better the next day, but that was it for almost a year. From June to after New Years, i lost almost 60 pounds. Spent most of my time on the couch. Nausea aching no appetite no energy no nothing. I wanted to die, except I have 2 wonderful grandchildren to live for and teach the "old" ways. I finally did a chinese herbal cleansing which made me feel so much better, but not near normal. At least I am functioning a bit better, carefully eating more. Had another set of tests and they are very much the same as they were last June. I think whatever was in the MRI machine triggered all this sickness. I was fine before and didn't feel sick. I have told this MRI story to over a dozen medical people and not a single one has done or said anything more than "Oh". Now the doc wants me to take Sovaldi with Rivavirin. It is a bit hard to find any info about
it except the Wall St. stuff! Doc gave me the brochure for Sovaldi, I've been in the printing biz all my life and that was very expensive to produce! So happy when I found this site. My question is, I live alone, do I need someone staying with me while taking this? Doc said 6 months, which is more than what I had read here. I live alone with 2 dogs. I promise to check in here a couple of times a day. Reading what you have to say is very helpful. Thank you for being here. And please bear with me as I learn how to do this blog. Have a great day!
