So, if you have cirrhosis or in some cases did not clear in a previous treatment, they are continuing the treatment for 24 weeks. We have a poster here, DDMom, who reports that her hubby took the Sovaldi-Olysio treatment for 12 weeks, then relapsed quickly. He is on Harvoni now and doing well, though he has more sides than on the previous regimen. She reflects that if they had the 24 week protocol before he might not have relapsed. But who can tell.
My partner, Mike, did the 12 weeks and cleared. He is 6 months post treatment now and considered cured. Let's just hope.
Since the sides are so minimal, I would just DO it and get cured!!!!!
