I hope your trip to FL is fruitful and not too exhausting.
Do you need to repeat all of your eval tests and did the pre-transplant schedule look the same at Mayo Jax as the schedule I emailed you from AZ?
For themister's eval, there were 4 days of tests. Some were more difficult days, but they all were doable for him.
You should be able to get your dual listing done as well as check into housing for when you will return to JAX for the transplant.
The schedule for UNOS MELD lab work once you are on the UNOS transplant list will be updated as follows:
MELD over 25 updated weekly
MELD 19-24 updated every months
MELD 10-18 updated every 3 months
MELD less than 10 updated annually
Themister is on the 3 month schedule since July 2013. Other than problems...he goes to Mayo every 3 months for labs, every 6 months for labs, MRI, scans, whatever they want :) We are happy to oblige.
His next update is in April for UNOS, though Mayo pulled labs last week for their own needs. UNOS sends an update letter after his MELD is reported. Needless to say, the MELD moves around daily, from our experience.
I also wanted to add this link for possible housing in FL when you are transplanted:www.gabrielhouseofcare.org/
Keep us in the loop on your transplant FL adventure! Good to know about
housing you find and how your days unfold. I hope the very best news for you. Big Hugs
