Give blood? After treatment?

I was just wondering I'd after treatment and if not detected can we give blood or organs?

No, you won't be able to donate blood, not with respect to current testing anyway. Blood is tested via antibody screening. You, I and everyone else who has attained SVR will always test positive for antibodies...for the rest of our lives. Antibody screening is cheap and easy, RNA - viral load testing is quite expensive. Last time I looked it was close to about $435 cash via Labcorp.

I'm not sure about the process of organ donation. I know that hep c positive organs are sometimes transplanted, so I suspect that organs from successfully treated hep c patients would be sought...given the long waiting lists...but I don't know any details re: the process.
