Is this forum still active? I noticed a post from 2013 with no reply. I am interested specifically in Connie and Barry's replies to various posts and want to know if they are still available to reply. My 81 year old Mother was just told that she has a nodule on her liver and they ordered a needle biopsy. That is all the info I have right now. I requested all the test results and to speak with her doctor. She has been losing weight and been extremely weak and nauseous. Can this nodule be causing that? She has NO risk factors for liver cancer, no alcoholism, no hepatitis, etc. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hello & welcome to Healing Well. Yes, this is still an active forum. Sometimes people will pull up an older thread & post on it rather than starting a new thread. I saw your post & wanted to reply to you. You can click on a member's name & it will bring up their most recent posts & will show the last date they posted in the forum. I hope this helps you. Take care.

hi daughter,
This is Barry. Welcome to the forum.. Sorry to hear of your mothers problem.. Along with the biopsy, her dr will order many related blood tests. the dr will also order a mri with a contrast, to get more detail..they will scan her entire abdomen.

Until the biopsy is reviewed, theres not much I can say. Requesting copies of all her tests and scans is the right thing to do..The nodule could cause the symptoms you described.. If you want to read about liver nodules, I found a good website, that's easy to understand.

get back to me, when you get results. And the very best to you and your mother. I am going thru the same thing with my brother.
