So I'm on day 15 with Zepatier. No side effects at all. But today I fell off a ladder landed on the backside of my hip. I've fell before not on this drug, bounced up no big deal, I'm very fit. Holy you know what it is killing me. Has anyone taken this drug and noticed any sort of easy bruising or get hurt easy? Thanks

hi willowman and welcome,
Have not had anybody here taking zepatier. Its list of side effects doesn't include easy bruising. Are you taking ribavirin with zepatier? Bruising can also come from moderate to severe liver damage, from hep c. Your platelets drop as a persons hepatitis progresses. You should be OK.

Let us know how your treatment works out. Your info can help our many visitors seeking treatment.
Nice to hear your side effect free.. I cleared hep c, with the old school treatments. UGGHHH!!

hi willowman, I am very intereted in your experience as the documentation on this drug suggests you have tried another Hep C treatment...I think in 2015...and did not clear. Is my understanding correct.

Did you never clear, or did you relapse.

What were the criteria for choosing this treatment?

My partner, Mike took Olysio and Sovaldi and cleared the virus several years after his liver transplant. His new liver was getting damaged (again, ugh) and we were so anxious to get meds for him. The drug of choice at that time was the Olysio for Type 1a, previous failed with interferon and ribavirin many years ago (2003).

Are you having any of the sides they have in the literature...tiredness, nausea, etc.? With teh ribavirin, some complain of anxiety and grumpiness. (actually they call it riba rage...worse than grumpy for my guy.)

Are you on the 12 or 16 week regimen? How often will they do your bloods? They told Mike to consider himself cured at 12 weeks post treatment with undetected. Once a year they test him now, but we know we would see an increase in his LFTs if it was BAAAAACK.

Best to you, Mama Lama
