I got jaundice at 3rd jan 2018 becoming yellow eyes and i checked bilrubin 5.6 and sgpt 1611 ..
doctor prescribed to take rest 2 weeks and give tests of hepatites b and e..both result came negative ..

At 7th jan 2018 i tested blood again bilrubin 4.1 and sgpt 1120 and i visited doctor again ..he checked and said i have viral hepatitis acute.he prescribed complete rest.

In 14 th jan i checked again blood test and result came bilrubin 1.6 and sgpt 250. I had sometimes a little itching, pain in right side of abdominal.I had ultrasound and result came normal.

In 23rd jan i checked blood test and result came bilrubin 0.7 and sgpt 52.Doctor said You can eat anything you want.

I want to ask actually:
1) i have lost about 7 kg during jaundice. But i gained only 1 kg after that.I have lot of appetite to eat anything but i always fear if i have something again. Can i eat everything except red meat?

2)I sometimes feel pain right lower 2-3 rib cages .only when i get to sleep or sitting forwardly.

3)In near future do i have to be catious about anything.Should i check blood test relevantly.Should i go for a biopsy?

4)any chance of hepatites b or c in near future.I am tensed as i am 25 only.

Thanks all of you.

hi Khan and welcome,
wow!! those are some big numbers..

with hep b and e eliminated, hep A can have acute symptoms. hep c is mild to no symptoms.

acute toxic hepatitis is very possible. ingesting something toxic can cause severe symptoms and possibly liver failure.

glad to hear you have recovered so well.

im sure your dr will do some follow up testing.. let us know if they find anything
